Castle Apartment would be better suited to the needs of wheelchair users. The Gyllyngvase Apartment would be more suitable for travellers who have lesser mobility issues.
Flooring in both apartments is mainly of laminate design with carpets fitted in all bedrooms. From the hallways in each apartment there are access doors to all rooms, which are all on the same level.
All light switches in both apartments are positioned 1.1 metres above floor level.
The minimum width of both hallways is 1.1 metres.
Access to the Castle Apartment shower room is via a 0.8 metre wide doorway. The Castle Apartment has a 2.5 cm high non-slip shower tray with open access of 1.5 metres.
Access to the Gyllyngvase Apartment shower room is via a 0.7 metre wide doorway. The Gyllyngvase Apartment has a 15 cm step into the shower cubicle and a 0.7 metre wide double sliding door.
