Things To Do & Places To Meet
If you are looking for places to meet friends, workout in the gym, a luxury spa experience or oceanside dining you’ll find many places nearby, but the closest is St Michaels Resort which can be found just 2 minutes walk from our apartments.
Falmouth Holiday Apartments Oceanside Walks
Local to our Falmouth holiday rentals there are some stunning oceanside walks along the South-West Coastal Path. We recommend setting off from Gyllyngvase Beach after sampling the locally sourced food and relaxed atmosphere of Gyllyngvase Beach Café.
Walking Eastwards towards Pendennis Point will take you past Castle Beach which offers superb views of Falmouth Bay. When you get to Pendennis Point you’ll be able to enjoy stunning sea views towards Carrick Roads. Here you will see lots of maritime activity along with many sailing boats as they go back and forth towards Falmouth and the open sea. Continuing further along Castle Drive will take you towards Falmouth Town, passing Falmouth Docks along the way.
Heading Westwards from Gyllyngvase Beach and passing through Queen Anne Gardens with it’s stunning array of sub-tropical plants you can head towards Swanpool Beach and Nature Reserve.
Swanpool Beach
Swanpool Beach is smaller than Gyllyngvase Beach but with a character and charm of it’s own. There is a great beachside Café which we recommend. You’ll also find many activities are on offer including Kayak or Paddle Board hire. Swanpool Beach is also home to Hooked On The Rocks Seafood Restaurant & Bar which overlooks the beach and nature reserve.
Maenporth Beach
Continuing onwards along the coastal path will bring you to Maenporth Beach which is also very popular with locals and tourists alike. Maenporth Beach is much more laid-back and has it’s own namesake café. We recommend this beach because of it’s natural beauty which is defined by rocky outcrops, beautiful sand, gorgeous sea views and as you can see from the image above, it’s a popular place to catch a reasonable surf. In addition there is The Cove Restaurant which is home to the award-winning chef, Michael Caines.
